Was 5 years old when the towers went down. Was not able to comprehend why someone would do this. Well I am now 30 and 25 years later able to understand a little bite more of what those Americans went through. It was very emotional. I am glad NYC was able to save items form the collapse so that day will never be forgotten. My heart breakes for all those lives taken that day and for those still missing. May this museum continue to educate those from all over the world. America truly show resilience.

My first time revisiting the site since the memorial has been completed. I worked for a company with a presence on the 110th floor in which we lost 3 employees that day. It is quite a heavy and moving experience to walk through the museum, for which I would recommend 3 hours to get through it all. There is a rather large section of the museum where pictures are not allowed which contains material that may be disturbing for some people. I do recommend the experience but it is quite somber.

Visiting the 9/11 Memorial and Museum at night was an unforgettable experience. The memorial itself is incredibly moving β the reflecting pools, softly lit from below, look especially beautiful after dark. The names engraved around the edges stand out in the glow, creating a peaceful but powerful atmosphere. It feels both solemn and comforting, a place that truly honors those who were lost.

A New York must see! A truly informative and humbling experience. We had previously been to the old museum a good few years ago and the new one is so impressive. To be able to visit the foundations of the towers, be informed of the events of 9/11 step by step and the wide ranging impact of those events is a must do visit. Getting an audio guide or physical tour guide definitely adds to the experience. Be aware (as you would expect) there is airport level security at the entrance so slow extra time on for your visit to facilitate this.

A Deeply Moving and Unforgettable Experience Visiting the 9/11 Memorial & Museum was one of the most powerful experiences Iβve ever had. The site is both heartbreaking and inspiring β a place that honors the lives lost while reminding us of the strength and unity that followed such tragedy. The twin reflecting pools are breathtaking in their simplicity, with the names of the victims beautifully engraved around the edges. Standing there, hearing the water and seeing the skyline, gave me a deep sense of reflection and respect. Inside the museum, the exhibits are incredibly well curated. Artifacts, photos, and personal stories bring the events of that day to life in a very human way. Itβs emotional and sometimes difficult to walk through, but also very meaningful. The staff were respectful and helpful, and the entire atmosphere encourages quiet remembrance. I left with a heavy heart but also with renewed appreciation for resilience, compassion, and peace. Tip: Give yourself at least 2β3 hours to experience everything. Itβs not just a tourist attraction β itβs a memorial that deserves time and reflection.
