The best decision I made in 2025 was choosing to let my son learn to dive here! Instructor Danae was absolutely perfect! They were very friendly and patient with the kids! Most importantly, besides the experience and fun, they also gained knowledge and skills!

This dive shop was great! My husband and I are relatively new to diving and this was our first time diving abroad since being certified. The people at Extreme Divers immediately eased our concerns. We requested a pickup and they were right on time in a branded van, so no question about if they were the right transport or not. We were in a small group of us 2, 2 more experienced divers, and our guide. He checked on us frequently during the dive to make sure we saw any interesting fish, were not having equipment issues, and to keep track of our air. We had an incredible boat dive and they even provided us with water and light snacks afterwards. Would highly recommend this dive shop!!!

Terrific place to get your open water diving certification. I was lucky enough to get a private course with Danae and she was the perfect instructor! They're attentive to all the details and supportive throughout. Highly recommended!

Awesome experience and day out with Extreme Divers! Very organised, everyone was very friendly, accommodating and focused not only on safety but providing me with a fantastic first underwater dive! Our instructor Danae not only created a sense of safety and trust but managed to pass on her passion and love for diving! Highly recommended!!!!

George was such an amazing tour guide that we booked 3 days of activities with him: 1. Poseidon’s temple snorkel, 2. Athens city tour and 3. Toured cities and archaeological sites outside of Athens. He’s friendly and does a great job of reading the group to decide what to do next. He was raised in Athens so he has a deep knowledge of the area, history and great restaurant recommendations. We’d use his tour group again!
Contact details, accessibility, and opening hours.
Accessibility varies depending on the specific snorkeling location. Contact the tour operator directly to inquire about wheelchair access, availability of ramps, and accessible restrooms at the chosen site. Transportation to the site may also present accessibility challenges.

Stay safe and secure
Check the local weather conditions and sea forecast before snorkeling. Strong winds or rough seas can make snorkeling dangerous, even in shallow waters, leading to disorientation or difficulty returning to shore.
Be aware of boat traffic and stay within designated snorkeling areas if available. Boats can pose a significant hazard to snorkelers, especially in areas with high tourist activity.
Use reef-safe sunscreen to protect your skin and the delicate marine environment. Traditional sunscreens contain chemicals that can harm coral reefs and other marine life.
Avoid touching or disturbing marine life, including coral reefs. Many marine organisms are fragile and can be easily damaged by human contact. It is best to admire them from a distance.
If you're not a strong swimmer, consider using a snorkeling vest or other flotation device. These devices can provide added buoyancy and help you stay afloat, reducing the risk of fatigue and drowning.
Pro traveler secrets
Talk to local dive shops or experienced snorkelers for recommendations on the best snorkeling spots based on current conditions and marine life sightings. They often have up-to-date information that isn't available online.
Look for snorkeling tours that focus on marine conservation and responsible tourism. These tours often provide educational information about the local ecosystem and how to protect it.
Learn basic Greek phrases to communicate with local guides or residents for tips about great snorkeling spots. Locals often know the hidden gems that aren't widely advertised.
Pack a small waterproof bag to keep your valuables safe and dry while snorkeling. You can attach it to your snorkeling gear or leave it with your buddy on the shore.
Snorkel during the early morning hours or late afternoon to avoid the midday sun and crowds. The light is often better for underwater visibility during these times.
