We had an excellent but fairly pricey meal at Catch. It is a great spot and a fun scene. Just opened upper dining room is very nice. We had the tasting menu as we found the menu extensive making it little hard to choose. The tasting menu gave us a nice portion of many items. Entire table has to do it. One bottle of wine with no corkage fee. Service could be more personal.

Catch is a real Nyc vibes restaurant. The atmosphere is great but it can be loud. I went here for my birthday and i must say it’s the best sushi in Nyc. The cocktails are pretty good too. We actually waited a lot for our table even though we already had a reservation.

Being at Catch NYC was a sight to see and a beautiful experience because I was able to speak to seemingly experienced staff including servers. The environment was refreshing and warm with greenery and soft lights. I experienced breathtaking views and weather as well as the surroundings of well kept plants and seats outside by a outdoor patio/terrace. I did not forget the food was incredibly prepared to its best. It was in fact, my first time there and I had a welcoming time. I was able to observe the chocolate cake being gently broken to be eaten, the sushi options being explained professionally, and the drink being made effortlessly. The next time I go to Catch NYC, I will bring someone who means a lot to me. I enjoyed my time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional Experience at Catch – Thanks to Steve! From the moment we arrived, Steve Desir made our evening unforgettable. His energy, professionalism, and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience. Steve went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — from his expert recommendations to his perfect timing and attention to detail, he made sure everything ran seamlessly. Steve has a rare gift for making guests feel like VIPs. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, knew the menu inside and out, and delivered a level of personalized service that’s hard to find. On top of that, his friendly personality and positive vibe set the tone for an amazing night. If you’re dining at Catch, do yourself a favor and ask for Steve. He turns a great dinner into an unforgettable experience. Five stars all around — we’ll definitely be back!

First time dining here. Came for brunch. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Our server Moe was great, very personable. Ordered wagyu surf and turf roll, eggs Benedict, and cinnamon swirl pancakes. Would come again.

Stay safe and secure
Stick to well-lit and populated streets, particularly if you're walking alone at night after a romantic dinner or event. Avoid wandering into unfamiliar or deserted areas, as Valentine's Day can extend late into the evening.
If you're meeting someone you met online for a Valentine's date, choose a public place you're familiar with and let a friend or family member know where you'll be. Share your location with them for extra security.
Watch out for inflated prices and scams around popular tourist spots. Confirm the price of anything you're buying before committing, especially if you're purchasing flowers or souvenirs from street vendors.
Be cautious if someone approaches you offering unsolicited assistance or deals. Valentine's Day can unfortunately bring out opportunistic individuals looking to take advantage of tourists.
Keep an eye on your drinks if you're celebrating at a bar or club. Avoid accepting drinks from strangers, and never leave your drink unattended to prevent any unwanted substances from being added.
Pro traveler secrets
Check out free events and public spaces like the High Line, Central Park, or Hudson River Park for romantic strolls or picnics that won't break the bank. They're beautiful and offer great views, especially at sunset.
Consider exploring lesser-known neighborhoods for unique Valentine's Day experiences, such as a romantic dinner in Chinatown (lots of good food for reasonable prices) or a jazz club in Greenwich Village. Ditch the tourist traps.
For a unique Valentine's view, take the subway to Long Island City and check out the Manhattan skyline from Gantry State Park. It's a less crowded spot than many Manhattan viewpoints and offers stunning photo opportunities.
Look for Valentine's Day deals on experiences like museum visits, concerts, or theater shows. Many cultural institutions offer special promotions or discounts around the holiday.
If you're looking for a last-minute Valentine's Day dinner option, try calling restaurants directly instead of relying solely on online booking platforms. Sometimes they hold back a few tables for walk-ins or phone reservations.
